This Year Our Opening Ceremony Will Be The Most Meaningful We've Ever Had.
There are Native American Burial Mounds on the East of Yellowstone Property. They are inaccessible to the public, and the government has been notified. However, we seek to be in harmony with these ancient peoples, and to that end, we have invited The Bull Valley Singers a Native American group who will perform a ceremony to "Honor the Ancestors." This very solemn offering cannot be recorded by video or photos, to keep the tradition as intended. *WE ARE HOLDING A FUNDRAISER* to engage the Bull Valley Singers for this most important moment. YOUR TAX DEDUCTABLE CONTRIBUTION in any amount to this worthy cause, is needed and gratefully accepted. There are certain levels of donation that will also allow extra access to the ceremony, the CE5 and more, to non-ticket holders. Join us in helping to bring them to the Tribe for this most important ceremony. ********** Bull Valley Singers is a Sacred Song and Pow Wow singing circle living on Potawatomi, Peoria, and Menominee land; now known as the north-east corner of Illinois. Through the lineage of their Uncle Danny Reese (Lenape, Lakota), this group of friends and family gathers to learn the ways, celebrate the culture, and sing the songs. Their principal drum, Red Bear, is a Buffalo hide drum stretched over a Silver Maple trunk and carries the medicine of the Bear, the Horse, the Eagle, and the Hummingbird. This drum sings northern Pow Wow and Sundance songs. |
